Software installation

calswrsetup.exe

calswrsetup.exe is the project's install and update program - which you have probably run in order to see these help screens!

Its actions are:

Create folder C:\Program files\G3VPX\Calswr with subfolders caldata, temp, hardware, and Picswr.
Copy calswr.exe, calswr.chm (help file) and uninstaller files to ..\Calswr
Copy G3VPX default calibration files to subfolder caldata ( G3VPX_default.fwd, G3VPX_default.ref)
Copy PicswrNNNN.hex files and PicBasic source files to subfolder Picswr.
Copy the latest Picswr module and SWRbridge schematics, circuit layouts and PCB manufacture layouts to subfolder hardware.
Create a desktop icon link and a Start menu link for calswr.exe
Create a registry entry HKLM/Software/G3VPX/Calswr and populate it with version information and login data for internet FTP updates.
Create a registry entry HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/App Paths/calswr.exe and record here the location of calswr.exe.

If calswrsetup.exe detects an existing installation then it runs as an update program. in doing so, it performs most of the above installation tasks. Reinstalling of my default calibration files will have no effect on your own calibration files (unless you have used the same filenames!)

Uninstalling Calswr

Use control panel 'Add/remove programs' or run Unwise.exe in the Calswr folder.

Configuration information

Calswr stores serial port identity, current calibration file names, window position/size and printer settings in the HKCU registry in HKCU/Software/G3VPX/Calswr
